The Science & Technology Education Centre is located on the Westville Campus of the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
The Centre's aim is to stimulate and encourage high school learners with enquiring minds to pursue careers in Science and Technology.
The Centre has numerous "hands-on" activities, interactive displays, posters and presentations for learners. Also on offer are exciting science shows which highlight and explain everyday phenomena. Trained personnel are always on hand to assist and answer any queries. In addition, staff of the University can offer workshops and talks tailored to suit your particular needs, for both learners and educators.
The exhibits highlight the various disciplines within the Faculty of Science and Agriculture, the study options available, career opportunities and current research projects of staff.
Incorporated within the centre is the Geology Education Museum, the only Geological Museum in KwaZulu-Natal. On display are spectacular minerals, fossilized plants and animals, meteorites from outer space and lots and lots of rocks.
